Sharing your Linkmi page from Instagram is the fastest way to turn profile visits into clicks — to your shop, latest drop, newsletter, or booking link. Instagram only allows clickable links in one place: your profile. This guide walks you through adding your Linkmi URL to Instagram Links in a few taps.
Already have a Linkmi page? Copy your public URL (linksmi.com/yourname) and jump to the steps below. New here? Create a free Linkmi page first — it takes under a minute.
Before you start: copy your Linkmi URL
- Open your Linkmi dashboard.
- Copy your public profile URL (for example
https://linksmi.com/yourname). - Keep it ready — you will paste it into Instagram in the last step.

Tip: use a short, memorable username so the link looks clean on your Instagram profile.
Step 1 — Open Instagram and go to your profile
Launch the Instagram app on your phone and tap your profile picture in the bottom-right corner to open your profile.

Step 2 — Edit Profile
On your profile, tap Edit profile below your profile photo and stats.

Step 3 — Open Links
In Edit profile, tap Links (on some older app versions this may still appear as a Website field).

Step 4 — Add an external link
Tap Add external link. Instagram lets you store several links; your Linkmi URL should be the one visitors open first when they want everything in one place.

Step 5 — Paste your Linkmi link and save
- Paste your Linkmi URL into the URL field.
- Add a clear title visitors will see (examples:
My links,Shop & content, or your brand name). - Tap Done (top right) to save your profile changes.

Your Linkmi page now appears under Links on your Instagram profile. Anyone who taps it lands on your Linkmi hub — with every button, embed, and CTA you configured.
Why put Linkmi in your Instagram bio (not five native links)
Instagram’s native Links feature is useful, but it stays a plain list of URLs. A Linkmi page gives you one permanent bio URL and a full destination behind it:
- Unlimited links and buttons you can reorder anytime
- Widgets and media embeds (YouTube, Spotify, Discord, and more)
- Analytics to see which buttons get clicked
- Scheduled links for drops, lives, and limited offers
- Design control that matches your brand — not a generic list
Update your Linkmi page when you launch something new. Your Instagram bio link stays the same.
Quick tips after you save
- Mention “link in bio” in captions and Stories so followers know where to tap.
- Put your highest-priority action at the top of your Linkmi page (shop, signup, or latest release).
- Test the link yourself from another account or Incognito to confirm it opens correctly.
- Pair your bio with a QR code for offline traffic (events, packaging, print).
